And here is one of the reasons that the ERA never made it... We people already KNOW girls are equal to guys, especially when they go around touting guns and magical staffs that can freeze you in your tracks if you try to be chivalrous or get her phone number.
EDIT: On another note, yes, irregardless is a double negative, but it's still fun to use!
