Those Robotnik sprites were taken from the ending of the first Sonic Advance, if you haven't collected all the Chaos Emeralds. Those are the only Advance sprites where you ever see him outside of his eggpod. However since they aren't actual in-game sprites, they're not necessarily in exact proportion to the rest of the characters in the series. Still, if you look at the size of his head, it's identical to the in-game sprites, despite the fact that his body is actually bigger than his eggpod. So I have a ridiculously tall Eggman. I think it adds to his character.

I know:
Eggman mastered quantum mechanics, so the eggpod is slighly bigger (as in higher) inside.
Also, "get out of HER"?! That just sounds wrong in SO many ways.

Actually, Robotnik really is about that size. Ever used him in the Chao garden in SA2?
As for how he fits in there, it's a video game, so it's best not to pay too much thought to it.
Hell, forget how he fits in there, think about how a hedgehog can run at super sonic speeds.
