The only other time Bass has removed his armor in this comic was for Wily and Vanilla's wedding, so this is the first time we get to see what his casual clothes look like. After redesigning Rock's sprites to resemble his Mega Man Powered Up design (which was not unlike his outfit from the original Mega Man), I decided that Forte's outfit should not necessarily be constrained to the color scheme of his armor. This is actually one of two designs I came up with way back when I originally made his tuxedo for the wedding. The other design had him wearing a longcoat, but I ended up using the outfit for Blues (who only appeared in Mega Girl so far.) Personally though, I think this somewhat straightforward outfit suits Forte's personality better.

And then we have Treble. When looking at the similarities between Rush's helmet and Mega Man's it's not too hard to imagine that Rush could take it off just like his Mega Man. Truth be told, I've never seen anything to suggest that he can actually remove it, even though I have actually seen artwork of Rock without his armor, but Rush still in his. Still, the idea has always stuck with me. And if Rush can do it why not treble? However, with the animals, I wanted to keep the obvious robotic look. I've never tried to allude to the fact that Rock could pass for a human, he's always been identifiable as a robot (or mannequin) to everyone he meets, and I doubt the jumpsuit has anything to do with it. So since Treble's not trying to pass himself off as a real wolf, I figured it would make sense for him to look a little more obviously robotic than the androids, since it prevents him from just being a one piece shape of black fur.

Alright, I admit that was something of along post, but I do try to put a lot of thought into the design of these characters.

How WOULD you disguise one of the only three rabbits in the universe? (Cream, Vanilla, and that cyborg chick. You know, the one from the archie comics.)

That's a good look for Bass, simple and tough, I also like Treble's secret identity mode, but I gotta say for a second that tail made me think he was a poodle.

@Shike: Bunnie Rabbot, and she isn't the only rabbit character from the Archie Comic.

Could you please post the sprites of Forte and transformed-Treble? I'd be very interested to see them. Thank you! :D

Treble looks like a black poodle. With a really bushy short tail.

Treble still looks robotic in my opinion.

Treble's tail reminds me of a cloud or a marshmallow.

You may want ot work on Bass's ees...they make him look angry all the time

Treble looks like one of those animal-themed Transformers from the mediocre tv show back in the late 90's/early 00's

I think you should give Bass a black trench coat.

Treble's secret identity is...
Gospel. Right?

You think for secret identity, they'd make up new names that don't have something to do with music. Bit more inconspicuous that way, eh?

Great ideas!

I'm liking the 'Muscle shirt' look on Bass. He looks a lot older/mature/grown than Rock does (though the sprite versions aren't quite as 'little boy' looking as the cartoon versions did).

To Thanatos-Zero:

Well if we're continuing with the music metaphors the proper one would be Piano for Treble to match Bass's Forte. But that doesn't sound appropriate for a robot dog. Or there's the Japanese route as RyanMC's been going and give him the Japanese name, which I do not know or even know if it is different.

Heh, personally I think it'd be hilarious to call him Aibo.

But honestly Gospel sounds pretty cool...

I also like it as a name for Treble's secret identity. :D

Unclever title....
Gospel IS Trebles Japanese name. It was used in the english versions of Battle Network too for some reason instead of Treble.

Did you used the MM7 Werewolf sprite to remake Treble?
